when i am anxious, i know i shouldn't be anxious but there is sometimes just nothing i can do to stop the heartbeats quickening & my mind racing into form lists according to categorical importances that shift according to my mood, i need to remember, i know it is hard to remember things in times like that but it is important to remember, that the world will get on fine without me.
i walk along the canal to stanlingrad metro, hovering above the intersection like a glistening carapace, & take line seven south. switching at opera, i smell the fresh madeleines & macarons that are funneled directly into the tunnels.
tonight: glass of wine, bath with bath oil, short stories, & bach.
