morning-full, more than full

ingredients for a happy morning:

go to the market with your basket or bag. it is warm & sunny - a blazer will do, along with just-in-case gloves. cheese, pears, yaourt de fermiers, muesli, green grapefruits, herbes de provence. ask the boulange what is good that day; she says it is a good day for mannedor aux oranges et epices!
mix one egg, soy milk, vanilla extract, & ground cinnamon in a bowl. allow the orange & raisin spice mannedor bread to soak in the mixture until it is all absorbed. cook over a medium-high heat, flipping the slices of bread when they are that perfect golden-brown. the english call this french toast; the french think this is very funny. i think it might be for this reason that they call it "pain perdu" - the lost bread.
mix one part fresh farmer's yogurt with one part canadian maple syrup. cut up some dried apricots. pour this syrup all over the pain perdu once it is ready for you; soak it up! enjoy it with cinnamon rooibus tea. if you mood strikes you, i suggest going skating in the afternoon.
