a morning of: cool coffee, the cbc
my new halifax-home is light blue and yellowed-wood. my room has a big fireplace mantle as a headboard and i have sunflowers, pansies, and gladiolas all around my room. purple wildflowers are running rampant in our backyard and our firepit has plans for marshmallows and embers. i sit out on the red wooden loveseat on our front yard with a cup of tea and buster, our dog. i am spending my time writing letters, reading, baking, bike-riding to ephemeral epiphanies, walking with my hands in my pockets, listening, and going to the movies.
we eat oatmeal together in the mornings, nibble peak freaks on futons in the late-evenings, laughing with newness. the coffee press is the centre of the kitchen table, around which the week's horoscopes circle; we are taking turns to prophesy how close we will come to the great-gray ocean. "your dreams are vivid - follow through; take to the forest and listen; every day builds on every other."
