Sunday, May 4

the cherry blossoms have fallen from the trees outside of the shop. the man we have dubbed 'easy rider' is browsing through the second-hand book-bins outside. i had tea with madeleines at the tea party at george's place this afternoon, at the tea party that he did not attend despite having donned a green satin blouse for the occasion. afterwards, i walked collette - the dog he insists on calling kitty - down by the seine & listened to the saxophone player underneath the petit pont.

alice woke me up this morning & after strong coffee on the floor of my room, we walked down to the place monge market to have a breakfast of raspberries, yaourt des fermiers with a collaborative effort of rosemary honey from the honey man, croissants & sarrasin crepes.
