cold feet

i am: hugging the radiator
i feel: more awake than i should

six o'clock in the morning & i just can't sleep. i ate two bowls of cereal & looked at pretty things on the internet, in the wee hours before the autumn's late dawn, when les voisines are not using the wifi. i am making lists of tea houses, independant galleries, & illustration sites. i am ordering stationary online, & copying poems from library books onto pages torn from notebooks to send over the ocean. i am planning daytrips in england & a scandinavian adventure: london, to copenhagen, to oslo, to amsterdam, to groningen, & then back home on the train. now, at seven:fifteen, i don't know if i should try to go back to sleep.
